About the ArtistHello! I am a visual artist as well as an Art Teacher Education student at Illinois state university. I am planning on graduating in the Fall of 2026.
Ever since I was a young kid growing up in the Chicago suburbs I have had a fascination with art, from 2D visual art like oils, acrylics, and charcoals, to 3D elements like clay work. I am excited and grateful to get the chance to work towards my goals of becoming a teacher. Thank you for coming to see my website and I hope you enjoy seeing my teaching experiences, as well as my artwork.

Teaching philosophyOne way I believe that I differ from many art teachers is my connection to the students interests throughout projects, as well as their particular 'flair' to a project. I believe it is important for students to feel confident in their own art styles, as well as their differing interests, so that we as artists can encourage others to create their own connections in the art world, as well as creating their connections outside of the artworld. Things as important as their own families, hobbies, interests as well as any other 'niches' they are intreseted in. From the nature of the outside world to anime to horror icons I strongly believe that creative freedoms within the classroom encourage kids to take the projects given to them and build upon them in ways that we as teachers could never manufacture, one of the beauties of individuality in the human brain.
